Most recently she has directed new writing for the Bush Theatre, Talawa Theatre and Company Three. She has been the Participation Director on the Spalding Suite for Fuel. Carolyn Downing is an accomplished actress with an impressive resume in both theater and television. Born and raised in New York City, Carolyn developed a passion for acting at a young age and went on to study theater at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
After graduating, Carolyn began her career in theater, making her Broadway debut in the 2001 production of "The Producers." She went on to appear in several other Broadway productions, including "Hairspray," "Legally Blonde," and "The Little Mermaid."

Elliott & Harper's inaugural production, Heisenberg: The Uncertainty Principle by Simon Stephens is running at the Wyndham's Theatre in London's West End until 6 January 2018.
