Tim Firth is a British playwright, screenwriter, and composer, born on September 10, 1964, in Wirral, Merseyside, England. He is best known for his work on the stage and screen, including his Tony-nominated musical, The Girls, and the hit film, Calendar Girls.
Firth began his career as a writer in the 1990s, penning episodes for popular British television shows, such as The Bill and Emmerdale. He later transitioned to writing for the stage, and in 1998, he co-wrote the play, Neville's Island, which premiered at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
