The 23rd Annual American Black Film Festival (ABFF) is excited to announce their distinctive 2019 lineup of narrative features, documentaries and short films in competition. Films are set to screen in Miami from June 13-15 at the Regal Cinemas South Beach and the New World Center.

The Flea Theater presents the World Premiere of SCRAPS written by Geraldine Inoa, a writer on The Walking Dead and the inaugural recipient of The Shonda Rhimes Unsung Voices Playwriting Commission. It is directed by Flea Artistic Director Niegel Smith. Now in previews, opening night is slated for Thursday, August 30.
Free tickets can now be reserved for the reading series presented by Corkscrew Theater Festival, running August 7 - September 3 at the Paradise Factory (64 East 4th Street, Manhattan). A joint effort from The Brewing Dept. and Fortress Productions, this new summer theater festival provides early-career artists a high level of production support and features five world premieres and five readings performed in repertory over four weeks. Special attention has been given to theater makers who are developing work through innovative and unusual collaborative models. A majority of the participating artists identify as women.

The play premiered in 2015 as part of Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival, and was subsequently excerpted at the Theater's February 2016 Love n' Courage annual fundraiser and later in their 2016 Lower East Side Festival.

For three weeks in June, Historic Green-Wood Cemetery will be transformed into Grover's Corners, New Hampshire at the turn of the 20th century, as it becomes an urban and bold outdoor stage for a new production of Thornton Wilder's Our Town.
