Eastbound Theatre, a division Milford Arts Council, is thrilled to present the final show of its 24th season, the compelling and complex Third, by Wendy Wasserstein, directed by Nancy A. Herman. The show will run June 1 - 17 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and on Sundays at 2pm at the MAC, 40 Railroad Avenue South, Milford, CT.

Wareham and Lythgoe Family Panto are thrilled to announce a very special holiday event, Cozi Zuehlsdorff ("Dolphin Tale" Films), Joely Fisher (Broadway: Cabaret, "Desperate Housewives"), Barry Pearl ("Grease"), The Book of Mormon's Benjamin Schrader, Jeff Sumner (Genie in Disney's Aladdin-A Musical Spectacular), "American Idol" finalist Vonzell Solomon and Conor Guzman (Pasadena Playhouse; The Fantasticks) starring in SLEEPING BEAUTY AND HER WINTER KNIGHT, book by Kris Lythgoe, choreography by Spencer Liff, musical supervisor Michael Orland, musical direction by Michael Sobie and directed by Linda Goodrich. "Last year's holiday confection returns with an all-new Lythgoe Family Panto event on our stage!" comments Artistic Director Ann E. Wareham. SLEEPING BEAUTY AND HER WINTER KNIGHT will begin performances on Wednesday, December 7; will open on Friday, December 9 at 7:30pm and will run through Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach. 

Pittsburgh CLO presents the CLO Cabaret premiere of ALTAR BOYZ, tonight, September 24, through December 20. This heavenly cast includes Pittsburgh CLO alumni Mike Greer as Luke and Mason Alexander Park as Mark, as well as exciting newcomers Michael Brown, Carter Ellis and Javier Manente. The National Music Theater Institute (NMTI) is the newest credit-earning, semester-long intensive from the National Theater Institute. Utilizing the O'Neill's experience and excellence in training young theater artists and history of developing new musicals (including Nine, Avenue Q, In The Heights, [title of show], and Violet), NMTI offers broad-based training in all areas of musical theater: acting, singing, directing, writing, dance, composition, and choreography.

Pulitzer Prize-winner Lawrence Wright premieres his new play at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. It is a fictional play about the last days of legendary journalist Oriana Fallaci. Don't miss this sizzling new script, which is directed by Oskar Eustis, stars Concetta Tomei and Marjan Neshat, and features an incredible team of designers. The 65th world premiere presented by Berkeley Rep, Fallaci is currently in previews in the Roda Theatre and opens March 13, running through April 21. In New York City in 2004, a fun and raunchy little Broadway musical called Avenue Q escalated to stardom across the entertainment industry, nabbing the Tony Award for Best Musical. Leading the way was Best Actor nominee, John Tartaglia, who then went on to grace NY stages in Beauty and the Beast and Shrek: The Musical. Now, fans and audiences of the multi-talented comedian can anticipate his breakthrough performance into the world of feature films as John plays "Dale," the quirky, offbeat, a-sexual manager of a spooky retirement home in the upcoming comedy/horror Hotel Arthritis. The New Group honored Wallace Shawn and Fred Wistow with the fifth annual Michael Mendelson Award. Founded in 2005, this award recognizes individuals who show outstanding commitment to the theatrical community. Actors Equity held a celebration for the 60th Anniversary of the Gypsy Robe on Monday night, October 25th at Sequoia on Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport where past gypsy robe winners came back to reminisce and to celebrate.

Last night, Monday, May 10, The New Group opened their latest production of The Kid. This marks the final production in The New Group's current 2009-2010 season, which featured Kenneth Lonergan's The Starry Messenger and most recently, the hit revival of Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind, directed by Ethan Hawke. The Kid plays a limited Off-Broadway engagement through May 29 at The New Group @ Theatre Row. BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the opening night after party arrivals.

Agoraphobia, adultery, spray cheese, road kill, hysterical pregnancy, kleptomania, flan and disco - these are just a few of the subjects covered in hit Off-Broadway musical comedy THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL, which will have its Boston-area premiere April 30-May 30, produced by SpeakEasy Stage Company.

Following three sell-out shows on Shaftesbury Avenue, Christmas in New York is released on CD ahead of the fourth annual instalment of the show at the Prince of Wales Theatre in December.

As previously announced, beginning on Monday, July 6th AVENUE Q will welcome back original cast member Ann Harada in the role of 'Christmas Eve.' Also joining the Broadway cast on July 6th, direct from the AVENUE Q U.S. national tour are Robert McClure in the roles of 'Princeton/Rod,' Anika Larsen in the roles of 'Kate Monster/Lucy the Slut,' and Danielle K. Thomas in the role of 'Gary Coleman.' Harada, McClure, Larsen and Thomas will join Christian Anderson, Nicholas Kohn and Jennifer Barnhart to comprise the final Broadway cast of AVENUE Q.

John Tartaglia (Avenue Q, Shrek The Musical) once again hosted, and Emmy-nominated writer, host and comic Seth Rudetsky returned as musical director, along with director Alan Muraoka (NAATCO's Falsettoland).

The 19th Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction was held on Sunday, September 25 in Shubert Alley. The Flea Market raised a grand total of $544,037 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Songwriters who honed their craft at the famed BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop joined together in song for a one-night-only concert on September 14 at 59E59 Theaters.

On August 16, 2005, the cast and crew of Avenue Q were welcomed to Las Vegas in true Wynn Las Vegas style and BroadwayWorld was there to cover it!
