Bailey Hanks, who dazzled audiences as Elle Woods in 'Legally Blonde, The Musical' on Broadway will repeat the lead role in Diablo Theatre Company's production of the show in February. 'This is a major coup for us and we couldn't be more excited to have a Broadway headliner like Bailey in our East Bay premiere of the high energy show,' said Daren A.C. Broadway In Chicago is tickled pink to present LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL. Having won over audiences across the nation, our favorite blonde law student will make her Chicago debut for a four week limited engagement May 12 to June 7, 2009 at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre (24 W. Randolph St.).

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) continues its 2008/2009 Season with the New York premiere of THE SAVANNAH DISPUTATION, a new play by Evan Smith (Psych and The Uneasy Chair at Playwrights Horizons, Remedial English for the Young Playwrights Festival at Playwrights Horizons, Servicemen at The New Group). This will be Mr. Smith's fourth collaboration with the theater company. Directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie (Chicago, New Jerusalem), in his Playwrights Horizons debut, the production will began previews on Friday, February 6, 2009 with an Opening Night set for Tuesday, March 3 at 7PM. The limited engagement will run through Sunday, March 15 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

On Wednesday, Jan 14th following the 8 pm performance of IN THE HEIGHTS - Ghostlight Records and ITH hosted a 'Grammy Night' Talkback. 100 Grammy University students as well as the Grammy board came to see the show and talk with the Tony winning creative team. The IN THE HEIGHTS album is nominated this year in the Best Musical Show Album. Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda lead the talk along with Alex Lacaimore and Bill Sherman, also Tony winners for their work on the show. IN THE HEIGHTS opened to critical acclaim, going on to win four 2008 Tony Awards (Best Musical, Best Score, Best Choreography, Best Orchestrations), and garnering a 2008 Grammy Award nomination for the original cast album. In November, 2008, Universal Pictures acquired the rights to produce a feature film based on IN THE HEIGHTS. The news of a 2009 GRAMMY Nomination for Best Musical Show Album, for their double-CD release of 'In The Heights' (already a Tony Award Winner for Best Musical and Best Score,) capped a dominant year for Ghostlight Records.

Disney High School Musical is based on the Emmy Award® winning Disney Channel hit musical and triple-platinum selling soundtrack. Disney High School Musical began performances at the Millburn theatre on November 5 and will run through December 7, 2008.

Laura Bell Bundy made her Feinstein's debut with JUST ME last night, Thursday, October 30th. JUST ME features Laura Bell singing Broadway songs as well as her own original material. Orfeh, aka Paulette in the Broadway musical Legally Blonde, visited the New York Stock Exchange on Mon., August 18 and rang The Opening Bell to celebrate the upcoming release of her new solo album, What Do You Want From Me, debuting on Sh-K-Boom Records on September 30, 2008. Orfeh, a multi-octave talent, is currently starring in Legally Blonde on Broadway and was formerly the front woman of the pop/dance super group Or-N-More.

Producing team Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley (in conjunction with William Collier) took the 2008 Tony Award-winner for Best Theatrical Event, Jay Johnson: The Two and Only to England. The show is being performed for a limited run, from June 25th to September 28th at the Arts Theatre London.
