The Library of Congress National Audio-Visual Conservation Center is announcing the full lineup of rare cinema and special guests to be featured at the inaugural Library of Congress Festival of Film and Sound. The new four-day film festival will be held June 15-18 in association with the AFI Silver Theatre and Cultural Center at the American Film Institute's beautifully restored 1938 art deco theater in Silver Spring, Maryland.

TV5MONDE USA, America's only 24/7 French language entertainment channel, has scheduled the world television premiere of the inaugural recipient of the 2017 French Culture Film Grant – Le Grand Remix – at 8:30pm/ET-5:30pm/PT on March 21st as part of its annual month-long Mois de la Francophonie celebration. It was announced that Tony nominee Max von Essen (An American in Paris, Evita, Les Mis) will play Dr.Brad/Kris in the sold out, one-night-only benefit reading of HOLLYWOOD NURSES, the new pulp comedy written by Sheila Head (Head Games, PBS's 'Cyberchase') and Peter Michael Marino (Desperately Seeking the Exit, Late with Lance!), and directed by Carl Andress (Die, Mommie, Die!, The Tribute Artist). Von Essen joins Golden Globe Award winner Kathleen Turner (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?), Tony Award nominee Geneva Carr (Hand to God), Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita (Matilda) and Taylor Louderman (Kinky Boots).

Producer Norma Lana will present a one-night-only benefit reading event of the new pulp comedy HOLLYWOOD NURSES, written by Sheila Head (Character Witness, Head Games) and Peter Michael Marino (Desperately Seeking the Exit, Late with Lance!), and directed by Carl Andress (Die, Mommie, Die!, The Tribute Artist) on Monday, June 19 at Mainstage Theater (416 W 42nd St). The reading will be emceed and narrated by Emmy Award winner Rosie O'Donnell.

Director John DiFusco, himself a Vietnam Veteran, opened the world premiere of Rebecca Stahl's EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN on Veteran's Day 11-11-16 at the Hollywood American Legion Post 43, produced by Karl Risinger and Liberty Theater. The play tells the interrelated tale of four generations of vets, each dealing with their own difficulties, who collaborate to help a Lance Porter, a young veteran coming home from the war in Afghanistan. who is haunted by the loss and experiences that followed him back and are destroying his personal relationships and life as he knew it.
