Dolly is coming back where she belongs! A new musical based on the life of music icon Dolly Parton is coming to Broadway. 



Dolly: An Original Musical, previously titled Hello, I'm Dolly, will feature a score by Parton that will include some of her biggest hits as well as new songs she has written especially for the musical, and a book by Parton and Maria S. Schlatter. 



Dolly Parton is an iconic American singer, songwriter, actress, and philanthropist known for her groundbreaking contributions to country music and her larger-than-life persona. Born on January 19, 1946, in Locust Ridge, Tennessee, she grew up in a humble, musical family, which profoundly influenced her career. Parton began her music journey as a child and skyrocketed to fame in the 1970s with hits like "Jolene," "9 to 5," and "I Will Always Love You." Beyond her success in music, Dolly has acted in several popular films, including Steel Magnolias and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Her philanthropic work is just as celebrated, with her Imagination Library providing free books to children around the world. Parton has received countless accolades, including Grammy Awards, a Kennedy Center Honor, and induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
