The Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) is proud to announce that award-winning actor, director, producer, and philanthropist Tim Daly will accept the distinguished Prince Rainier III Award for his outstanding artistry and exemplary give-back. Daly will be honored at the Princess Grace Awards Gala at Cipriani 25 Broadway in New York on October 16, 2018.

Primary Stages announced today that its 2018 Gala will take place on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 6:30 pm. The event, which will be held at Tribeca 360º (10 Desbrosses Street), will honor Tony nominees Rebecca Luker (Mary Poppins, The Music Man) and Danny Burstein (Fiddler on the Roof, South Pacific); Eleanor Holtzman, trailblazing marketing executive and Primary Stages Board Member; and Jose M. Toro, Senior Director, Commercial Management, LeFrak Property Management.

The Festival will celebrate 10 years of Bravo's The Real Housewives of New York City with a one-time-only conversation for fans between Executive Producers Andy Cohen and Lisa Shannon along with cast members Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley, and Tinsley Mortimer. The program will also expand with the 5th season premiere of FOX's Empire, followed by a conversation with star Jussie Smollett. Hudson, Executive Director; Casey Childs, Founder) is proud to announce complete casting today for the first two productions of their 2018/19 season: Final Follies, by A.R. Gurney (Love Letters, Sylvia, Black Tie at Primary Stages) and directed by David Saint (Clever Little Lies), and Downstairs by Theresa Rebeck ("Smash," Dead Accounts, Poor Behavior at Primary Stages), directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt (What We're Up Against). All performances will take place at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St, New York, NY, 10014).

CBS announced today that former secretaries of state Madeleine Albright, Hillary Clinton and General Colin Powell will guest star in the fifth season premiere of MADAM SECRETARY to be broadcast Sunday, Oct. 7 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. They filmed their scenes on Wednesday, July 11, during the first week of production of the critically acclaimed series' upcoming season.

Dorset Theatre Festival is celebrating the Festival's 41st season with the 2018 Summer Stars Celebration Gala honoring Trustee Rick Jackson. The Gala will take place at 6:00 P.M. on July 8th at the Old Gray Barn (1582 VT Route 30, Rupert, VT 05768) and will feature music by the Roadside Blues Band, a special guest performance by international concert and recording artist Maxine Linehan, and a live auction.

When the Academy of American Poets created and launched National Poetry Month in April 1996, it couldn't have predicted that its signature program would inspire events in all fifty states, becoming the nation's largest literary celebration. The annual initiative both introduces young readers to poetry and creates an opportunity for teachers, librarians, booksellers, poetry organizations, and poets themselves to showcase the importance of reading and supporting poetry year-round. Today, National Poetry Month remains the Academy of American Poets' special contribution to the art of poetry in the United States, and it is pleased to announce the following activities, initiatives, and resources for this year's celebration.

Early 2019 will bring GOD SAID THIS by Leah Nanako Winkler (Two Mile Hollow), directed by Morgan Gould (Kentucky); and the season will conclude in Spring 2019 with LITTLE WOMEN, written by Kate Hamill (Pride and Prejudice), based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott, and directed by Sarna Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George). Performance schedules, additional casting, and full creative teams will be announced at a later date.

American Political Drama Series 'Madam Secretary' to Premiere on WE tv Starting Wednesday, March 7 at 7PM

Newly announced 2018 Jonathan Larson Grant Recipients ZOE SARNAK (music & lyrics) and EMILY KACZMAREK (book) are bringing their new, original musical AFTERWORDS to the stage, as part of the Beta Series at Village Theatre, a leading producer of musical theatre in the Pacific Northwest. 

Casting has been announced for The Trial, the next play in the Politics of the Absurd reading series presented by Christopher Maring/ CM Stage Productions. Joining the reading will be Krysta Rodriguez (What We're Up Against, "Trial & Error", Spring Awakening), Mamoudou Athie ("The Get Down", Patti Cake$,), Brian Wiles ("Public Morals", "Turn"), Brian D. Coats (Jitney, "Boardwalk Empire"), John Rothman (Ghostbusters, "One Mississippi") Sam Breslin Wright ("Madame Secretary", The Beaver), and Tony nominee Kristine Neilson (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, You Can't Take it With You). The Trial, adapted by Steven Berkoff from the novel by Franz Kafka, and directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt (What We're Up Against, Dry Land), will take place at the Baruch Performing Arts Center on March 5, 6, and 7.
