Even though it has closed, The Band's Visit is still winning awards! The show's original cast won a Daytime Emmy Award yesterday for their performance on the Today Show!

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the winners of the 46th Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards. The gala was held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, Southern California.

The 10-time Tony Award-winning Best Musical THE BAND'S VISIT, which is currently running on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre, has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for their performance of 'Answer Me' live on the Today Show.

On last night's episode of 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' the cast of Tony Award-winning Broadway musical 'The Band's Visit' performed a scaled-down version of 'Omar Sharif' with Katrina Lenk.
