Award-winning composer/clarinetist Sam Sadigursky has announced the release of his latest recording project The Solomon Diaries. Sadigursky was seen onstage in the band of The Band's Visit. He will reunite with the show's star, Katrina Lenk, who is a guest vocalist on the album. Oklahoma! musical director Nathan Koci also appears on the record.

The Philip Glass Ensemble (PGE) will give the Philadelphia premiere of Philip Glass's monumental work Music in Twelve Parts presented by the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 6pm. Music in Twelve Parts runs five hours, with two intermissions and a dinner break. This marks the first performance in Philadelphia by the Philip Glass Ensemble in 21 years.

The Hoff-Barthelson Music School Faculty Concert Series continues on Friday, February 7, 2020, at 7:30 pm with a performance of works in celebration of the School's 75th Anniversary. Works featured on the program are from the time of the School's founding and include Amy Beach's Piano Trio; Witold Lutosławski's Dance Preludes and his arrangement of Variations on a Theme by Paganini for two pianos, four hands; Leonard Bernstein's sublime Sonata for Clarinet and Piano; and Dmitri Shostakovich's Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor, for violin, cello and piano, Op. 67.

This January, The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street at the corner of Elizabeth Street in NYC), the arts center of the Archdiocese of New York, offers a dynamic line-up of music, theater, talk and gallery exhibition events. Events include a theatrical event for young audiences exploring social media and social responsibility in our schools; a commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day with The Museum of Jewish Heritage; and a celebration of children's creativity through the visual arts.
