Suspended Musicians Sue New York Philharmonic

Matthew Muckey, associate principal trumpet, and Liang Wang, principal oboist of the New York Philharmonic, have filed federal lawsuits against both the orchestra and the musicians’ union Local 802. The legal action, submitted to the Southern District of New York, comes after a series of complex events involving allegations from 14 years ago.

 On April 22, three high school students will experience the joy of live theatre in a whole new way – as playwrights. Dylan Alter (of Ossining, NY), Myli Bruno (of Mamaroneck, NY), and Ben Souza (of Shelton, CT) were named winners of The Palace Theatre’s 2024Ernie DiMattia Emerging Young Artist Awards for their writing of an original one-act play.
