On August 28th the completely original new show Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical will get it's first private industry readings in NYC. The all-star cast features Gerard Canonico (Spring Awakening) as Sky Square, Brittney Johnson (Beautiful) as Lily Polkadot, Talia Thiesfield (HBO's Veep) as Penelope Square and Russell Arden Koplin (Les Miserables) as Mrs. Square/Mama Square.

The full cast of Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter, just performed in City Parks Foundation's SummerStage festival in Central Park. The free event was comprised of all of the classic hits from the Broadway production, performed concert-style in Central Park. Later this week, 106.7 LITE FM will continue its 15th annual lunchtime theatre summer series, '106.7 LITE FM's Broadway in Bryant Park.' The 2015 program will present the best of Broadway, FREE to the public, on six consecutive Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. ET on the Bryant Park Stage. This Thursday's line-up will include performances from the casts of SAYONARA (Jennifer Piacenti, Morgan McCann, Edward Tolve, Ya Han Chang),  The Phantom of the Opera, Kinky Boots (Jake Odmark, Haven Burton, Nick Rashad Burroughs, Paul Canaan, Sean Patrick Doyle, Robert Pendilla), and BEAUTIFUL (Chilina Kennedy, E. Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced today that Award-winning Canadian actress Chilina Kennedy, who made her Broadway debut as 'Mary Magdalene' in Jesus Christ Superstar, has nabbed the title role in Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter. Kennedy begins performances on March 7, 2015, succeeding Tony Award-winner Jessie Mueller, who will play her final performance in Beautiful on March 6 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street).
