WAM Theatre concludes their 2022 Fresh Takes Play Reading Season with Escaped Alone, written by one of the most prolific living playwrights, Caryl Churchill (Top Girls, Cloud 9, Far Away). The play is directed by WAM's Producing Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven and will be presented live (and live-streamed) on Sunday, August 7, at 2pm at The Mount, Edith Wharton's Home in Lenox. Tickets are on sale now.

Producing Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven, Managing Director Molly Merrihew, and the WAM team will present a special one-night-only benefit cabaret at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington, MA. hosted by Tony Award and Drama Desk Nominee Jayne Atkinson (House of Cards, Criminal Minds, Bluff City Law).

WAM Theatre joins the Berkshire Community in celebrating Pride Month with a Fresh Takes Play Reading of Bright Half Life by Pulitzer Prize and Emmy Nominated writer Tanya Barfield (The Call, Blue Door). The play is directed by Gina Kaufmann (Professor of Performance and Directing at University of Massachusetts, Amherst) and will be presented on Sunday, June 5, at 2pm at MASS MoCA in North Adams. Tickets are on sale now. This reading is being presented as part of Berkshire County’s annual LGBTQ+ Pride celebration in partnership with Berkshire Stonewall Community Coalition and MASS MoCA.

WAM Theatre begins its 13th season with a Fresh Takes Play Reading of The New Galileos by Amy Berryman (Walden Theaterworks Hartford & London's West End), directed by Megan Sandberg-Zakian (WAM's Holy Laughter; Skeleton Crew at Huntington Theatre Co.) on Sunday, May 1, at 2pm at Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield and live streamed online.

WAM Theatre presents the US premiere of KAMLOOPA: AN INDIGENOUS MATRIARCH STORY by Kim Senklip Harvey, winner of Canada's prestigious Governor General's Award for English Language Drama, directed by Estefanía Fadul (WAM's Native Gardens, The Oregon Trail).

WAM Theatre's reimagined 2020 season will center on a creatively designed digital production of the area premiere of Lisa Loomer's celebrated play ROE, available October 17-20.  The digital production will be directed by WAM's Producing Artistic Director, Kristen van Ginhoven.

ROE by Lisa Loomer will run October 17-20, and THE THANKSGIVING PLAY by Larissa FastHorse will run November 19-22.

WAM Theatre has announced the success of their first online play reading, of CAMPUS UNREST. The play reading has raised $3,225 for the BRIDGE COVID-19 Emergency Fund so far.

WAM Theatre has announced that tickets go on sale Tuesday, March 3, for their fall Mainstage production of ROE by Lisa Loomer, directed by WAM Co-Founder and Producing Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven.
