Last month at the Brooklyn Museum Gala a 25 foot-high pinata that bore an uncanny resemblance to Andy Warhol was installed in the glass pavilion. Andy Warhol's image returns and is now on the walls of the Museum's first floor gallery.

Fisher Landau Center for Art has announced it's upcoming exhibitions through March. They include FIVE DECADES OF PASSION Part Two: The Founding of the Center and WE ARE THE WORLD: Figures & Portraits through 3/29/2010.

The Wooster Group will present its first benefit artauction on the occasion of its 35 th Anniversary. Dubbed 'The Wooster (Support)Group', the event will feature live and silent auctions of contemporary art.

Purchase College School of the Arts holds its 2ND School of the Arts Gala on Monday, March 15th at the Millennium Broadway Hotel/ The Hudson Theatre to honor Kiki Smith, Paul Taylor, Lynn Nottage and Paquito D'Rivera with the Nelson A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art entitled 'Redstockings, Riot Grrls, and Right Now: Three Generations of Feminism in Conversation'; live musical performances by the Brooklyn Philharmonic, St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble, and Falu; a gallery talk with artist Kiki Smith; and a talk on Egyptological rarities in the Museum's Wilbour Library.
