Disney Channel announces its May 2016 Programming Highlights All programming subject to change

THE 2016 RADIO DISNEY MUSIC AWARDS (RDMA), music's biggest event for families, will take place SATURDAY, APRIL 30 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and will be televised SUNDAY, MAY 1 (7:00-9:00 p.m. EDT) on Disney Channel.

Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Gwen Stefani, whose latest album 'This Is What the Truth Feels Like' recently entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at No. 1, will be honored with the 2016 RDMA 'Hero' Award.

Hollywood Records recording artist Sabrina Carpenter is scheduled to perform at the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music's biggest event for families. Carpenter joins previously announced artists including Ariana Grande, DNCE, Flo Rida, Hailee Steinfeld, Zara Larsson, Daya, Laura Marano, Sofia Carson, Kelsea Ballerini and Jordan Smith on SATURDAY, APRIL 30 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The two-hour television special 'Disney Channel Presents the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards' originating from the event to be presented SUNDAY, MAY 1 (7:00-9:00 p.m. EDT) on Disney Channel.

Honorees for the 2015 BET Honors have been announced. The special event will be taped Jan. 24 in Washington, D.C., and will air Feb. 23. Ticket sales will benefit the National CARES Mentoring Program. Wayne Brady will host.

GREASE is the word at York Little Theatre (YLT) now through October 5. YLT'S GREASE is ready to rock its way onto the main stage to start the theatre's 82nd season with a cast and crew of over 35, a two story set with a full size Greased Lightning car, special permission and rights to add the movie songs that are not normally performed in the stage version, and heart thumping choreography.
