In honor of what is usually Tony Sunday, the American Theatre Wing is partnering with BroadwayHD in making the Wing’s Centennial Concert that celebrates the theatre community available to all viewers beyond the paywall from June 13-19, while raising awareness for the Wing’s programming.

Since 2011 Heather Hitchens has been the President and CEO of The American Theater Wing. She herself is an accomplished drummer who started out at a local radio station and then later went into arts management. She counts many women mentors in her life who gave her the confidence to take on leadership roles in the world of arts organizations which is how her career in the arts began at the age of 24.

The long-running documentary series produced by the American Theatre Wing showcases the inner-workings of the theatre industry, pulling back the curtain and giving a first-hand look at the work of the people who make theatre happen, from actors like Daveed Diggs, to orchestrators like Alex Lacamoire, to makeup designer Thelma Pollard and many more.

It's Tonys time! The 2020 Tony nominations will be announced on October 15 by Tony winner James Monroe Iglehart. A date for the ceremony has not been set, but it will likely happen in early December.

The American Theatre Wing and The Village Voice have announced the postponement of the 65th Annual Obie Awards amidst nationwide protests in response to the killing of George Floyd. The first live session of the American Theatre Wing's Master Class Series - featuring a conversation with Tony, Grammy and Emmy Award-winning actress Cynthia Erivo, moderated by the Wing's President & CEO Heather Hitchens - will take place next Tuesday, May 26 at 4:00pm ET.

1812 Productions is pleased to present its annual political comedy, and a Philadelphia favorite, This Is The Week That Is. A staple of the Philadelphia theatre season for the past 14 years, This Is The Week That Is delivers sharp satire and content that changes with the headlines. This Is The Week That Is will play from November 29th through January 5th. Opening Night will be Wednesday, December 4th at 7pm at Plays & Players Theatre, 1714 Delancey Place, in Center City.
