The Tony Awards announced today that Academy Award winner and Tony Award nominee, Ariana DeBose (West Side Story, Summer: The Donna Summer Musical) will host the 75th Annual Tony Awards from the legendary Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday, June 12, 2022 (8:00 – 11:00 PM, LIVE ET/5:00 – 8:00 PM, LIVE PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming live and on demand on Paramount+. 

The Tony Awards Administration Committee announced today that Robert E. Wankel, will receive the 2022 Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award. 

Tony Award Winner Adrienne Warren (TINA: The Tina Turner Musical) and three-time Tony Award Nominee Joshua Henry (Carousel) will announce the 75th Annual Tony Award Nominations on Monday, May 9, 2022.

Tony Award Productions has announced that they are shifting the date for the Tony Award Nominations announcement to Monday, May 9, 2022.  Eligibility for shows opening in the 2021-2022 season has been extended to Wednesday, May 4, 2022.

The American Theatre Wing has announced the recipients of the 2021 Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative Classroom Resources Grants. Grant requests of up to $50,000 were considered for K-12 public schools, with nearly 135 applications received from across 35 states and just over $6 million dollars in requested funding.

Her Broadway Director/Choreographic credits include Chita Rivera, The Dancer's Life, Annie Get Your Gun, Marie Christine, Once on This Island, Chronicle of a Death Foretold and Dangerous Game.

The Isabelle Stevenson Award is presented annually to a member of the theatre community who has made a substantial contribution of volunteered time and effort on behalf of one or more humanitarian, social service or charitable organizations.

Tony Award-nominated Costume and Fashion Designer Emilio Sosa has been elected the Chair of the American Theatre Wing. Mr. Sosa, in his role as Chair of the Wing’s Board of Directors, will be joined by newly named Vice-Chairs Dale Cendali, Patricia Crown, James Higgins, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Lee Perlman, and Nadine Wong.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee announced today that they will present three Special Tony Awards to The Broadway Advocacy Coalition; David Byrne’s American Utopia and Freestyle Love Supreme.
