The fourth annual United Solo Theatre Festival concluded its run on November 24, 2013 at Theatre Row on 42nd Street in New York City. An awards ceremony was held that night, following the eight-week-long lineup of the world's largest solo theatre festival, which offered more than 120 productions this season.

A lineup of over 120 solo performers from six continents and 23 countries will present their shows during the fourth annual world's largest solo theatre festival, today, October 3 - November 24 at Theatre Row on 42nd Street. Twenty-five shows are currently sold out, with others set to reach that status over the next several days. Compared to the inaugural season three years ago, United Solo expanded its schedule four times, from two to eight weeks, gaining the status of a resident company at Theatre Row.

Dolan's This Verse Business played by Emmy Award winning actor Gordon Clapp (NYPD Blue's Detective Greg Medavoy). Frost's poetry is heard afresh and his great wit witnessed once more in Clapp's critically acclaimed performance.

Joe Mantegna reprises his Tony Award-winning role as Richard Roma from the original (1984) Broadway production; Gordon Clapp returns with his Tony-nominated portrayal from the 2005 Broadway revival; and Richard Schiff stars as George Aaronow, the role he played in the most recent, 2012 Broadway production. The L.A. Theatre Works cast also stars Richard Dreyfuss and Bruce Davison.

Joe Mantegna reprises his Tony Award-winning role as Richard "Ricky" Roma from the original (1984) Broadway production; Gordon Clapp returns with his Tony-nominated portrayal of Dave Moss from the 2005 Broadway revival; and Richard Schiff stars as George Aaronow, the role he played in the most recent, 2012 Broadway production. The L.A. Theatre Works cast also stars Richard Dreyfuss as Shelly Levene, John Getz as James Lingk, Josh Stamberg as John Williamson and Kyle Colerider-Krugh as Baylen. With money, egos and jobs on the line, the cut-throat salesmen will stop at nothing to get their fair share of the American Dream. This gritty story of shifting values in the male-dominated workplace is as potent and exhilarating as ever. Peterborough Players Wins 7 New Hampshire Theatre Awards

The Peterborough Players took home seven awards at the 11th annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards ceremony held on January 26th at Pinkerton Academy's Stockbridge Theatre in Derry. Auld Lang Syne, a world premiere production, won five awards as follows: Best Production Drama/Comedy; Best Director Drama/Comedy (Gus Kaikkonen), Best Original Playwright (Jack Neary); Best Actor in a Drama/Comedy (Gordon Clapp), and Best Actress in a Drama/Comedy (Kathy Manfre from Peterborough). The 39 Steps took home two awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama/Comedy (Kraig Swartz) and Best Sound Designer (Benjamin Marcum).

The nominations are out for the 11th Annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards. Like Broadway has the Tony Awards, NH has the NHTA's. Those awards will be handed out on Saturday January 26th at the Stockbridge Theatre on the campus of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, New Hampshire. The award ceremony begins at 7pm.

Theatre Works opens its 2012-13 season with Christopher Hampton's new version of Anton Chekhov's tragi-comic masterpiece, The Seagull. The cast also includesGordon Clapp, Stephen Collins, Logan Fahey, Cindy Katz and Josh Stamberg, with Rosalind Ayres directing. AccordiNg to the New York Times, David Mamet's 1984 play Glengarry Glen Ross is heading back to Broadway, this time starring Al Pacino as leading man, 'Shelly "The Machine" Levene.' Pacino previously played 'Richard Roma' the the 1992 film adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Daniel Sullivan is attached to direct the project, which is set to open in the 2012-13 season.
