El Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (Inbal) y la Subdirección General de Educación e Investigación Artísticas (Sgeia) abrieron este 28 de agosto las puertas de sus planteles educativos para dar la bienvenida al ciclo escolar 2023-2024 a 9 mil 235 estudiantes –2,860 de nuevo ingreso–: 12 Centros de Educación Artística (Cedart), cuatro Escuelas de Iniciación Artística (EIA) y 13 escuelas profesionales, a partir de este día, serán sedes de su formación.

La Secretaría de Cultura del Gobierno de México y el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (Inbal) recuerdan este 16 de agosto el 127 aniversario del nacimiento de la fotógrafa Tina Modotti, quien en las imágenes resguardadas en la Colección Manuel Toussaint del Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), Modotti capturó --entre 1927 y 1930-- los murales de Diego Rivera en el edificio de la Secretaría de Educación Pública y en la Escuela de Agronomía de Chapingo
