New York Stage and Film Reveals Early Casting, Residencies, Leadership Additions

New York Stage and Film has announced initial casting today for the 2023 Summer Season July 14-August 6 at Marist College. Jo Bonney has signed on as director for Soft Target and Colette Robert joins the Paradise Ballroom creative team as director. The one man new play, Like They Do In The Movies, written and performed by Laurence Fishburne has shifted dates to August 5 and 6 due to a scheduling conflict.

Tonight, Sunday, May 28th at 7pm EST, the Talking It Out Virtual Arts Festival in Support of Mental Health Awareness will host its next monthly Poetry Open-Mic Night for poets and spoken-word artists to come and share their poems, monologues, and other written work virtually across the world, and to watch and support the works of their fellow artists.

The Fled Collective has announced complete casting for the workshop production of SWAY, written by SMJ and directed by Daniella Caggiano. The strictly limited engagement will begin performances in The Siggy at The Flea Theater on May 19 and runs through May 27. Tickets are $25 and available through Eventbrite. The Fled Collective will also be offering free tickets to patrons who identify as members of the global majority.
