The Dramatists Guild of America is proud to announce they will present the 2018 Horton Foote Playwriting Award to playwright James Anthony Tyler at the Dramatists Guild's awards presentations in 2018. This year's award finalist is Fernanda Coppel. The Richenthal Foundation is again sponsoring the award.

The Dramatists Guild Foundation celebrated the work of Itamar Moses at a salon hosted by DGF President Emeritus, Gretchen Cryer on Monday, September 25. He was interviewed by DGF President Andrew Lippa, and spoke about his writing process as well as the creation of his hit Broadway musical, The Band's Visit, co-written with David Yazbeck. Wilmington Drama League welcomes The Dramatists Guild Foundation Traveling Masters Series: Broadway Playwrights today, December 9, 2017 at Wilmington Drama League.

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) will present Bread and Roses, with book & lyrics by Jill Abramovitz and music by Brad Alexander, the third and final offering of Dare To Be Different, the previously announced series of new musicals and one-night only special events being held at A.R.T./New York Theatres (502 West 53rd Street 10th Avenue & 53rd Street). The Dramatists Guild Foundation celebrated the work of musical writing team Scott Frankel, Michael Korie, and Doug Wright at a salon co hosted by the CORE Club on Monday, September 25. The trio spoke about the creation of their musical War Paint in a panel discussion led by Vanity Fair special correspondent, Amy Fine Collins.

Last night, the 2016-2017 class of Dramatists Guild Foundation Fellows presented excerpts of full length works at Playwrights Horizons at 7:00 PM. This presentation caps off a year spent working under the tutelage of Michael Korie (Grey Gardens), Laurence O' Keefe (Heathers), Diana Son (Stop Kiss).
