THE ROAD THEATRE COMPANY and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, are thrilled to announce the fourth show of its 2014-2015 season, the Los Angeles Premiere of MUD BLUE SKY, written by Marisa Wegrzyn and directed by Mary Lou Belli. MUD BLUE SKY will preview on Tuesday, April 7; Wednesday, April 8 & Thursday, April 9 at 8pm and will open on Friday, April 10 at 8pm and run through Saturday, May 30th at the Road on Lankershim, 5108 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood.

The magic continues when one of L.A.'s most beloved and longest running shows, Smoke and Mirrors moves to the Odyssey Theatre on Jan. 17 through March 15. Created by and starring noted actor and lifetime member of the Magic Castle, Albie Selznick and co-produced with Ron Sossi, artistic director of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, the L.A. Times Critic's Choice smash hit directed by David Schweizer makes its debut in West L.A.

A trio of strong female performances anchor playwright Eisa Davis' Bulrusher; an intriguing story of a mixed-raced 18-year-old with psychic powers growing up in a predominantly white 1950s California town.

Skylight Theatre Company and Lower Depth Theatre Ensemble present the Los Angeles Premiere of Pulitzer Prize Finalist Bulrusher, written by Eisa Davis and directed by Nataki Garrett. When the patriarch of an Italian family is in his last days, his relatives gather in Tuscany to celebrate life, love, and to rediscover the bonds that hold them together. Among the crowd is Luigi's young American niece, Anna, who soon discovers that her uncle is the key to a world of freethinking and a familial relationship that she has always longed to have. Woven with poetry and memories, the reunion unveils the intergenerational connection of family.

Emmy Award winner and Executive Director, Elliot Shoenman, and his son Artistic Director, Daniel Shoenman, founded the Inkwell Theater ten years ago, subsequently establishing national critical acclaim for the company with such productions as the Ovation Award nominated AfterMath, starring Annie Potts. On July 18th they will launch Louise Munson's (Liam Rector Scholar in Fiction) play Luigi, offering Los Angeles audiences a first look at her work when this World Premiere opens at the VS Theatre.

Set in Poland circa 1890, WHITE MARRIAGE is a surreal and erotic coming-of-age fairytale that follows a young girl's poignant emergence into womanhood and frightened resistance to her impending marriage. Two sisters, sensitive Bianca (Kate Dalton) and precocious Pauline (Emily Goss), are on the verge of adulthood. Bianca is betrothed to Benjamin (Austin Rogers) and the preparations for her imminent wedding send the girls into a flurry of excitement and confusion.

The summer theater season wouldn't be complete without multiple interpretations of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream to quench our appetite for the Bard's most beloved comedy. I have never seen a production more understandable or better staged than the current one at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble presented by the New American Theatre, directed by Jack Stehlin.
