Berklee President Roger H. Brown will present Rita Moreno, Ronald and Ernie Isley, Lucian Grainge, and Milton Nascimento with honorary doctor of music degrees at Berklee's commencement ceremony, Saturday, May 7, at the 7,000-seat Agganis Arena at Boston University. Moreno, this year's commencement speaker, will address more than 900 Berklee graduates and their parents and invited guests. 

Rifco Artistic Director Pravesh Kumar today announces the full cast for the world premiere of Laila: The Musical. Kumar directs Reece Bahia, Ravin J Ganatra, Mona Goodwin, Kush Khanna, Sami Lamine, Sheena Patel, Vedi Roy, Shin and Yinka Williams in the production which opens at Watford Palace Theatre on 7 April. Laila then tours to The New Wolsey Theatre, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Warwick Arts Centre, Queen's Theatre Hornchurch, Theatre Royal Windsor and The Lowry.

Pack your picnic, grab your friends, and get ready for cool shows on star-filled summer nights! Summer officially begins this Friday for Washington-area music lovers, when Wolf Trap opens the Summer 2015 season on the Filene Center stage at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts.

When Nathan Laskar released his 2014 album, Bedstuyle, under the name Brooklyn Shanti, his intention was to bring disparate artists, genres and music fans together in order to show them their own similarities.  Taking this approach landed Laskar a TED talk, an invitation to present the album's breakout collaboration, "Something Beautiful" with Bollywood starlet, Evelyn Sharma to the press and public in Mumbai at the top of the year, and found him seated on multiple panels and in showcases during SXSW 2015.

Continuing its 125th Anniversary celebration, the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University adds two, one-night-only performances to its momentous season.

Indian super-star musician and composer A. R. Rahman, best known in the United States for his Academy Award-, Golden Globe-, and Grammy-winning score for Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire, will appear in person for the world premiere of Jai Ho, a new documentary about his career, at Museum of the Moving Image tonight, February 25, at 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, March 28, at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage, Grammy Award-winning tabla maestro Zakir Hussain brings together some of the world's top Indian and Celtic musicians for Zakir Hussain's Pulse of the World: Celtic Connections.

Daren Fuster has been appointed Director of Operations and Artistic Administration for the acclaimed Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO), announced Executive Director Rachel Fine, who added that Fuster will oversee artistic administration, production, general operations, as well as education and community programs. Fuster replaces long-time LACO administrator Andrea Laguni, who is stepping down after 19 years at LACO to serve as an arts consultant.
