Today, LES PRIX DE LA DANSE DE MONTRÉAL (PDM) unveiled the winners of the 2022-2023 season at a ceremony held at the Studio-Théâtre des Grands Ballets Canadiens, as part of the biennial Parcours Danse platform.

Schimmel Center at Pace University concludes its 2018-19 Dance Series with Le chant des sirènes, the newest solo work from accomplished Canadian dancer and choreographer Sylvain Emard, on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 7:30pm. Tickets start at $29 and can be purchased at SchimmelCenter.org, by phone at 212-346-1715, or by visiting the Schimmel Center Box Office at 3 Spruce Street, Manhattan. Box office hours are Tuesday-Saturday, noon-5pm, and then beginning three hours prior to each performance, through intermission.

Bang bang is a personal and universal contemporary ritual that allows the body to express itself at its most combative and desperate, at its most free. A present-day study about surpassing the oneself, bang bang is a staged work creation for a kamikaze no-holds-barred soloist on the theme of resistancethat has resistance as a theme. The work follows a score that is also an ordeal. It both literally and figuratively questions the notion of performance, from the space of representation to the metaphors of our contemporary Western pace of life.

DUSK DANCES proudly presents its 24TH annual season. Dusk Dances is a renowned and beloved outdoor dance festival presented at Withrow Park each August. This year, for the very first time, a Guest Curator was invited to program the Withrow Park event: Michael Caldwell. Dusk Dances 2018 features some of Canada's top choreographers and dancers, including Peter Chin, Allison Toffan Carmen Romero, Karissa Barry, and Tina Fushell, in a diverse program of dance featuring contemporary, flamenco, tap, Bharatanatyam, and West African forms and styles.

The piece will be presented at the Art Museum Plaza at the end of the Parkway as part of the 2018 Fringe Festival on September 8 and 9 and will become the largest work in the Festival's twenty-two-year history.

Celebrity Series of Boston is holding its first calls this weekend for Le Grand Continental, the most infectious, contemporary, community line dance ever imagined. Following on the success of Street Pianos Boston, Celebrity Series is looking for 150+ people of all ages to help them cap their 75th anniversary celebration with Le Grand Continental-a weekend of community dance performance that will be held May 16-18 in Copley Square Park.

Following on the success of Street Pianos Boston, Celebrity Series is looking for 150+ people of all ages to help them cap their 75th anniversary celebration with Le Grand Continental-a weekend of community dance performance that will be held May 16-18 in Copley Square Park.

Following closely on the success of Street Pianos Boston, the Celebrity Series of Boston will celebrate the finale of its 75th anniversary season with the Boston premiere of Le Grand Continental. Created by Montreal-based choreographer Sylvain Emard, Le Grand Continental is a contemporary public dance event scheduled to take place in Copley Square Park May 16-18, 2014.
