Fort Salem Theater has announced the full cast and creative team for the upcoming developmental production of “Beethoven: Live in Concert,” a groundbreaking rock musical written by Jad Jacob, which performs April 19, 20 & 21 on the theater’s mainstage.

What did our critic think of FUN HOME at TheaterWorks Hartford? The musical FUN HOME, based on Alison Bechdel's graphic memoir ('a family tragicomic') won five Tony Awards in 2015, including Best Musical. And Jeanine Tesori (music) and Lisa Kron (book and lyrics) made history by being the first female duo to win a Tony. Oh, and by the way, the musical was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.

TheaterWorksUSA new, 60-minute production of The Lightning Thief: Theatre for Young Audiences Edition will perform in New York City before heading out on its quest around the country. Performing two shows only on October 1, 3 PM and 7 PM at Five Angels Theater.

Broadway's Rob Rokicki & Sarah Beth Pfeifer, the composer and star of The Lightning Thief will present a night of rock and roll and new musical theatre. They will be joined by guest stars Molly Lynch (The Last Five Years, Sunset Boulevard) and Jordan Castle (The Light and The Piazza, Cats).

Schools with a large technical budget can really play up the fantasy of the musical. They can do high tech transformations and amazing monsters. Schools with a smaller budget can really play up the camp factor of the show, and have more simplistic sets and special effects. The same goes with cast size. The chorus of this show can be huge or small, depending on the needs of the school.

Rob Rokicki (The Lightning Thief, Monstersongs) & Sarah Beth Pfeifer (The Lightning Thief) will release the new EP, True Believer, and single, Foot off My Face, from their immersive rock musical, Experience Marianas.  The project is scheduled to drop on Tuesday, August 31st on all streaming platforms.
