Yes, I am talking about Santa's helpers, the energetic and excited elves who ensure your visit to the North Pole is as wonderful as it can be. In David Sedaris' one man play, THE SANTALAND DIARIES, playing now at Playhouse on Park in West Hartford, audiences get a peek through the a?oemagic windowa?? at one man's hilarious experience as an elf in Macy's Santaland.

David Sedaris' THE SANTALAND DIARIES begins performances at Playhouse on Park on December 4, and will run through December 21. This one-man play has a?oea satirical brazenness that holds up next to Twain and Nathanael West' (The New Yorker).

ABC Talent and Casting will present the 2019 ABC Discovers: New York Talent Showcase, TUESDAY, SEPT. 17, at the New World Stages – Stage 2, in New York City. Part of Walt Disney Television's ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for undiscovered talent, the showcase features selected participants performing in a one-night showcase for casting directors, talent agents, managers and other industry professionals. In addition, the selected showcase actors are awarded a one-year mentorship with executives from ABC Casting. As part of the mentorship, the showcase actors will be offered on-camera workshops specifically for them to further hone their craft and auditioning skills. Talent will also have access to various ABC executives.

Watching Saint Joan, something seems missing in Bedlam's informal and intimate production. Saint Joan will be directed by Bedlam's Artistic Director Eric Tucker (the award-winning director of Sense and Sensibility at Folger Theatre) and features a cast of four, including Tucker, playing over 25 parts. Aundria Brown is the martyred heroine of France, Joan of Arc.

The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents Bedlam, the acclaimed New York based theatre company, with a fresh kinetic look at two plays with four actors, playing 49 characters in William Shakespeare and George Bernard Shaw's most famous creations, side by side, Hamlet and Saint Joan, in repertory April 5 to 15 at The Broad Stage. This engagement will be the company's West-Coast debut.

Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) presents Hamlet by Bedlam a now famous stripped-down version of Shakespeare's classic tragedy at White Eagle Hall, February 8-10. Hamlet by Bedlam is JCTC's first full theatre production at the restored, historic theater which reopened last year.
