The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey continues their successful season with 'A Man for All Seasons.' It is an impactful, must-see show of the fall entertainment season.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) will present its penultimate production for the 2023 Main Stage season, Robert Bolt’s A Man for All Seasons beginning, next month.

The Audio Publishers Association has announced finalists for the 2023 Audie Awards®, the premier awards program recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken-word entertainment. Winners across 26 competitive categories will be revealed at the Audie Awards Gala on March 28. The ceremony will be streamed to the public from Chelsea Piers’ Pier Sixty in NYC. 

Now in its final week, the 14th annual Origin 1st Irish Theatre Festival, running through January 31,will host two in-person events, including the world premiere of a new play by John Kearns and an online curated Irish language theater salon. 

Origin Theatre Company and the Irish Arts Center are jointly presenting a star-studded commemorative reading of Richard Norton-Taylor’s “Bloody Sunday: Scenes from the Saville Enquiry” to mark the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, a seismic turning point in the history of Northern Ireland.

In addition to conquering the stage and performing on screen, many Broadway stars have lent their voice talents to another medium: video games!

Sam Shepard's Pulitzer Prize winning drama, Buried Child, is now being performed at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey through October 7. Expertly directed by Paul Mullins and featuring an outstanding cast, the play honors Shepard's playwriting legacy with a production of his masterpiece that is beyond excellent.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey continues its 56th season with its fourth Main Stage production, Buried Child. This will mark the first time the Theatre has presented a play by Sam Shepard, who passed away last year. Paul Mullins returns to direct. Veteran company member Sherman Howard leads a cast that features returning company members Anthony Marble and Carol Halstead, as well as Roger Clark, Paul Cooper, Michael Dale, and Andrea Morales, all of whom are making their STNJ debut. Origin's 1st Irish 2018, the world's only theatre festival dedicated to showcasing the work of contemporary Irish playwrights, handed out its Best of Festival Awards at closing night festivities at Rosie O'Grady's in Times Square last night. The awards were very evenly distributed among the seven productions in competition from Ireland and the US, but the life of the party was Isobel Mahon's comedy "Party Face," which picked up awards for Best Actress (its star Hayley Mills) and for Best Production. Produced by Robert Driemeyer, Morgan Sills and Jan Warner, the Irish hit's US premiere plays at City Center through April 8. Its New York-based cast includes Klea Blackhurst, Gina Costigan, Brenda Meaney and Allison Jean White.

In preparation of tonight's broadcast of the event, the on-air team at NY1 got 'Wonka-fied,' donning the colorful costumes from the hit Broadway musical, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY.

NY1 news anchors celebrated both Halloween and Tony Award-winning composer Andrew Lloyd Webber last night at annual The Village Halloween Parade. The five anchors dressed as characters from all three of Lloyd Webber's currently running musicals for their live coverage of the annual event. Stephanie Simon was transformed into Bombalurina from CATS, Ruschell Boone and Roger Clark rocked at as the pint-sized rockers in School of Rock - The Musical, and Pat Kiernan and Jamie Stelter enchanted as Phantom and Christine from The Phantom of the Opera.    Check out a photos of the whole gang below!
