World-famous guitar-maker Paul Reed Smith and his band, Eightlock, are set to release their new CD, 'Lions Roaring in Quicksand,' on December 1st. The album showcases their unique blend of blues, soul, rock, funk, and other roots sounds, with a lineup featuring three drummers, a bass player, a female singer, and three guitar players.

The Hideaway Entertainment and AGBO Films have begun principal photography on 'Cherry' starring Tom Holland (Spider-Man) and Ciara Bravo (Wayne and Red Band Society).  Anthony and Joe Russo will direct 'Cherry,' making this their first directorial endeavor after their six-year Marvel journey. Based on Nico Walker's New York Times bestselling novel, 'Cherry' is the eponymous story of a former Army medic who returned from Iraq with extreme undiagnosed PTSD, fell into opioid addiction and began robbing banks. Longtime arts supporters, Ed and Cathy Rasmuson, have established three long-term charitable endowments to support the performing arts in Anchorage. A $1.5 million donation was made to the Alaska Community Foundation, creating funds that will provide lasting support for the Anchorage Concert Association, Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, and Anchorage Opera. A portion of the endowments will be distributed to the organizations each year for operating expenses. This will ensure a legacy of performing arts for generations.

That "Wells Fargo Wagon" is rolling into town as Columbia Children's Theatre (CCT) presents the Meredith Willson's classic  The Music Man Jr..
