Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah Releases New Single FOREVERGIRL (ft. Chris Turner & Mike Larry Draw)
Today, Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah releases “Forevergirl,” the second single from his upcoming album Ancestral Recall (out March 22nd via the Ropeadope / Stretch Music labels). Featuring Chris Turner and Mike Larry Draw, the song was praised by The FADER who called it “a hypersyncopated but blissful love song.” So far the album has also been praised by New York Times, Afropunk, Highsnobiety, Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, HipHopDX, Cool Hunting, Brooklyn Vegan, and Paste, who said “the future of jazz is here and Adjuah is shattering boundaries in incredible ways.” Additional collaborators on Ancestral Recall include Saul Williams, Elena Pinderhughes, Weedie Braimah, Logan Richardson, and others.

As it approaches its 5th anniversary, Aladdin welcomes three new principal cast members to the company. Original Australian star Ainsley Melham has taken over the title role, marking his Broadway and North American theatrical debut. Broadway veteran Michael James Scott (Something Rotten!; The Book of Mormon; Tarzan), an original Broadway company member who originated the role of Genie in Australia and comes directly from playing it on the North American tour, has assumed the role of Genie. And as part of the show's trio of Aladdin's sidekicks, Mike Longo (Beautiful, Aladdin North American tour) stepped into the role of Kassim.

Programme Announced For BEAM2018 The Biennial Industry Showcase Of New British Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre Network and Mercury Musical Developments today announce the programme selected from their pitching days held around the UK between September and November for BEAM2018. Fifty-eight of the new British musicals pitched at these days have been selected to be shared at the biennial industry showcase which will next year be held at Theatre Royal Stratford East on 1 and 2 March. BEAM is designed for anyone in a position to help develop and stage new British musicals to attend, bringing the most exciting musical theatre projects together from around the UK for industry professionals to grab the opportunity to become involved from the early stages of development.
