Michael is a California native and a NYC transplant.
Born and raised in Sonoma CA, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from UCLA and is represented by KMR talent agency.
Michael continues to perform all across the nation. Most recently in the First National Tour of Steve Martin & Edie Brickell’s Broadway musical Bright Star.
Regionally he has performed at many theaters across the US. His recent favorites include The Hollywood Bowl, 5th Avenue Theater, San Francisco Symphony, LA Opera, Phoenix Theater Company, La Mirada Theater, The Old Globe, Hartford Stage, and Tuacahn Amphitheater.
Michael can also be seen on TV in the Netflix film Bad Trip starring Eric Andre as well as the new Dinsey+ series Encore! starring Kristin Bell.
Michael is equally passionate about the health of our planet, economic and social justice, and a sustainable democracy. He is currently working with Feel Good Action to ensure equity, equality, kindness, and accountability echo across our country everyday.

The band comprised of Michael Starr (Vocals), Satchel (Guitars), Stix Zadinia (Drums) and Spyder (Bass) will kick off the tour on April 18th in Omaha, NE and run through May 18th where it wraps up in San Antonio, TX. The 21-city trek will make stops in Denver, CO (April 19); Seattle, WA (April 27); Nashville, TN (May 8) and Austin, TX (May 17).
