I was  intrigued to see how the producers would breathe life into this and they have crafted a show that takes you on a bittersweet journey that is incredibly moving. And yes....you will cry. I am slightly annoyed at them for making me cry in public, I like to keep up my tough guy reputation...but I could not hold back.

Beginning February 23rd, Cast Aside Productions is bringing its version of the 1971 Stephen Schwartz (WICKED, THE PRINCE OF EGYPT) musical based on the Gospel according to Matthew to a week-long residency at The Studio Theater at Portland Ballet.

Patti LuPone's eponymous new memoir, on sale tomorrow, September 15, is a revealing look at her career, bookended by two performances: her first production of Gypsy in junior high school and her award-sweeping turn as Rose in the same show in 2008. The audiobook edition, narrated by LuPone herself, is a particularly intimate version of her story, as told in her own words.
