The Australian Theatre Festival NYC Season 2023 Company has been announced! Get ready for a week of cabaret, play presentations, industry panels, and more.

The Australian Theatre Festival NYC, helmed by Co-Artistic Directors & Executive Producers Mark Barford, Connor Delves & Jillian Geurts hosted their second annual Fundraising Gala at The Players NYC on Sunday September 10. Honoring Broadway, West-End & Australian theatre icon Caroline O’Connor, and Broadway Producer Neil Gooding. 

On June 5, HERE (Kristin Marting, Founding Artistic Director) will honor HERE former board member and entertainment lawyer Jason Baruch and conceptual artist, designer, and musician Machine Dazzle at HERE’s Extra Gala.

Current Phantom of the Opera star Ben Crawford will be out of the show for the final Broadway performance. Longtime Phantom Laid Mackintosh will step into the role this evening.

The longest-running Broadway show of all time, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will play its final New York performance at The Majestic Theatre today, Sunday, April 16 at 5PM, after a record-breaking 35 years and 13,981 performances to 20 million people. A special Charity Performance will take place on Friday, April 14 of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, the iconic and record-breaking Broadway production that will end its history-making run that week. 

The Phantom of the Opera celebrated 35 years on Broadway last night, January 26, at the Majestic Theatre. The production opened on January 26, 1988. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Opera Australia will soon present the upcoming new Sydney production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, which will be the first major outdoor production of the musical. The Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour season of PHANTOM, directed by Simon Phillips with set and costume design by Gabriela Tylesova, will open on Sydney’s iconic over-water stage on March 25.
