MaameYaa Boafo is a Pakistani born-Ghanaian actor and writer living in New York. She moved to the United States to obtain a double Bachelor degree in Journalism and French at Hood College. She was then awarded the Levin Scholarship from Rutgers University where she received her MFA in Acting from the Mason Gross School of the Art. MaameYaa went on to make her off-Broadway debut in originating the role of Tina Pardon in Walter Mosley's LIFT (59E59 and George Street Playhouse regionally). MaameYaa was last seen on stage originating the role of Paulina Sarpong in Jocelyn Bioh’s critically acclaimed School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play at MCC Theater and Kirk Douglas Theatre.
