May 3, 2023 will mark the 29th annual celebration of the Herb Alpert Award in the Arts (HAAIA) which will be presented to eleven risk-taking, mid-career artists – experimenters - who are challenging and transforming art, their respective disciplines, and society.

Pascal Le Boeuf, an accomplished and incredibly versatile composer, pianist, and electronic artist, is among 171 recipients of the 2023 Guggenheim Fellowship, which this year honors the achievements and “exceptional promise” of writers, scholars and artists across 48 fields. 

Modern jazz luminaries Moran (piano) and McBride (bass) perform music by Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, Geri Allen, and Louis Armstrong in the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater. Taking inspiration from America’s diverse artistic landscape, their collaboration is infused with a distinctive soul that illuminates their reverence of the past.

Receiving key assistance from engineer Andy Taub, the Le Boeuf Brothers turned that thought into a reality.  And working with first-class musicians and longtime friends—tenor saxophonist Dayna Stephens, bassist Linda May Han Oh and drummer Christian Euman—they produced a brilliant work of calm purpose.
