Multi-Grammy Award winning music icons Ludacris and Paula Abdul have joined P3 Productions, and Tony Award-winning entertainment mini-studio Level Forward, on the producing team of the new Broadway musical How to Dance in Ohio.

Philanthropist Laurie M. Tisch announced today that 14 New York City-based organizations will receive grants in the Illumination Fund's new Arts & Mental Health program, an expansion of its Arts in Health Initiative.

The Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund is creating a new Arts & Mental Health program within its Arts in Health Initiative to support arts‑based programs addressing mental health for people and communities disproportionately affected by the COVID‑19 pandemic.

The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment, NYC Health + Hospitals and AFM Local 802 have launched Music for the Soul of NYC's Health + Hospitals Heroes, a new series in support of the 43,000 staff at NYC's 11 public hospitals and their patients. The series is funded by the Laurie M Tisch Illumination Fund.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA) raised a record $10.4 million last night at its Spring Gala honoring Hearst Corporation, as announced by Katherine Farley, chair of Lincoln Center. The event, attended by more than 500 people, lauded Hearst President and CEO Steven R. Swartz, and Executive Vice-chairman and former CEO, Frank A. Bennack, Jr. for the enormous and varied contributions to Lincoln Center made by them as well as by their company. Both men serve on Lincoln Center's Board of Directors; Mr. Bennack was chairman of Lincoln Center from 2005 through 2010, and Mr. Swartz is currently chairman of Lincoln Center's Corporate Fund.

Lincoln Center, in partnership with CUNY's Hunter College School of Education, the New York City Department of Education, and the United Federation of Teachers, today announced the Lincoln Center Scholars Alternative Certification Program, an innovative new initiative to educate, certify and fast-track over a three-year period the placement of high-quality music, dance, theater and visual art teachers in up to 120 New York City public schools, which are currently without adequate or any arts programs.
