Disney Junior's 'The Rocketeer,' a new comedic, animated adventure series featuring a young girl named Kit Secord, who takes to the skies to protect her community after becoming the surprise recipient of a rocket-pack that gives her the ability to fly, will premiere FRIDAY, NOV. 8, on Disney Channel (11:00 a.m. EDT), Disney Junior (5:00 p.m. EDT) and DisneyNOW. Inspired by Dave Stevens' beloved superhero comic books and Walt Disney Pictures feature film, the series stars Kitana Turnbull ('A Series of Unfortunate Events') as Kit, and Billy Campbell and Kathy Najimy as her parents, Dave and Sareena Secord. Campbell is best-known for starring as Cliff Secord in 'The Rocketeer' film.

A new comedic, animated adventure series 'The Rocketeer'—inspired by Dave Stevens' beloved superhero comic books and Walt Disney Pictures feature film—follows Kit Secord after she learns she's secretly next in line to become The Rocketeer, a rocket- pack wearing superhero who can fly. The series will debut on Disney Channel and Disney Junior this fall with actor Billy Campbell, who starred as Cliff Secord in 'The Rocketeer' film, as the voice of Dave Secord, Kit's father. Kathy Najimy (Hocus Pocus) will voice Kit's mother, Sareena Secord, and Kitana Turnbull (A Series of Unfortunate Events) stars as Kit. The news was announced today during Disney Television Animation's panel at San Diego Comic-Con International.

Here she comes, world! The first national tour of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival of Hello, Dolly!, starring Tony Award winner Betty Buckley, launched earlier this year from the Stanley Theatre in Utica, New York. Netflix hosted it's worst premiere this evening, asking guests to avert their eyes as they debuted Season 2 of A Series of Unfortunate Events at the Metrograph in New York City. Unsuspecting patrons were treated to abominable treats and fanfare, all poorly themed to the latest season, where they sipped on aqueous martinis (consisting merely of cold water with an olive on top, served in a fancy glass) and enjoyed art deco decor. Talent in attendance included the dastardly Count Olaf who dared to disguise himself as Neil Patrick Harris, newly minted cast member Allison Williams, and fan favorites Patrick Warburton, Sara Rue, Lucy Punch, K. Todd Freeman, Malina Weissman, and Louis Hynes among other unspectacular Season 2 stars.
