Queer|Art, NYC's home for the creative and professional development of LGBTQ+ artists, is pleased to share details for Queer|Art|Pride 2021—the fifth annual edition of the summer festival celebrating work by the organization's vibrant community of more than 200 LGBTQ+ artists.

May is Lower East Side History Month, and Queer|Art is the new kid on the LES block, having recently relocated their offices from Nolita to the East Village this past year. Heralding their arrival to the neighborhood, they've organized four days of programming throughout May to celebrate the queer past, present, and future of their beloved new East Village home.

Each evening is organized to highlight the unique relationships-creative, professional, personal, and otherwise-that have developed between these artists through their participation as Mentors and Fellows of the celebrated Queer|Art|Mentorship program.
The Drawing Center has announced the selected artists for Open Sessions. A two-year program open to artists working in a variety of disciplines, Open Sessions will offer exhibition opportunities in The Drawing Center's Lab Space and other venues, as well as studio visits, public programs, and informal gatherings. These programs will be cooperatively organized by Open Sessions Curators Nova Benway and Lisa Sigal and groups of the participating artists, with support from Open Sessions Fellows Kamrooz Aram, Nathan Carter, Emilie Clark, and E.V. The Invisible Dog is thrilled to announce its April program. This month, the Invisible Dog welcomes a new cast of characters to our ever-expanding community of artists and curators, with a diverse roster of events that extend the perimeters of our programming. From experimental music to the art of storytelling, through different visual exhibitions, the Invisible Dog will play host to a whole new branch of our extended artistic family.
