The Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP) Board of Directors recently announced that it has appointed Rebecca Noble as the organization’s permanent Executive Director, who is committed through its 100th season next year (2024-2025).

Katie Broman, executive director, Omaha Community Playhouse, has decided to leave OCP. Broman will continue to lead OCP until an interim executive director is on board and a leadership transition is underway.

This year will be Jerry Longe’s final year as Ebenezer Scrooge in the Omaha Community Playhouse’s mainstage production of A Christmas Carol. Longe has played the role of Scrooge for 17 years. 

The Omaha Community Playhouse has announced that Stephen Santa will be joining the organization as the new artistic director beginning on November 1, 2021. Susan Baer Collins, former OCP associate artistic director, has been acting as interim artistic director since January. Collins will work with Santa during the transition.

Beginning immediately, onstage performers and crew members who work every performance of a production, ages 19 and older, will receive a uniform set fee for each production in which they participate.

After serving as artistic director for four-and-a-half years, Kimberly Faith Hickman has announced she is leaving her role at the Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP) at the end of 2020. Hickman plans to return to OCP in spring of 2021 as a guest director for the highly anticipated production of Willy Wonka and to teach for OCPa??s Henry Fonda Theatre Academy.

Kimberly Faith Hickman is the Artistic Director of the Omaha Community Playhouse, which has a long and impressive history dating back to the 1920s. The Playhouse is not only a community theatre, it is the originator of the Nebraska Theatre Caravan, a professional touring company most well known for its fabulous productions of the Christmas classic, A CHRISTMAS CAROL.

Omaha, Nebraska is teeming with talent. And once in awhile you come across a person who is more than a performer in the spotlight; she is a light. Camille Metoyer Moten is a singer, actress, author, and inspirational human being. She will appear in her own show at the Omaha Community Playhouse on June 8 and 9 at 7:30 pm and on June 10 at 2:00 pm.

The Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP) and its Board of Trustees are pleased to announce that Omahan Katie Broman has accepted the position of executive director of the Playhouse. After a national search, Broman has been chosen to fill the position in early January 2017. She will work with current OCP President Tim Schmad before his retirement on January 31, 2017. Omaha Community Playhouse is the nation's largest community theatre and is currently in its 92nd season, producing nine regular season productions each year.
