The Outsiders is coming to Broadway! The new musical will arrive this season at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre with previews beginning Saturday, March 16, 2024 ahead of a Thursday, April 11, 2024 opening night. What do you need to know until then?

The Outsiders, the new musical based on the seminal novel by S.E. Hinton & Francis Ford Coppola's landmark motion picture, will come to Broadway this season at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.

 The Old Globe will hold its annual gala on Saturday, September 24 under the stars at the Globe’s Copley Plaza and Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. Guests will enjoy a special presentation by Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein and fabulous entertainment by Broadway star Joshua Henry.

It's all happening as The Old Globe throws the party of the year-the 2019 Globe Gala, Where Black Tie Meets Tie-Dye, on Saturday, September 21, in support of the theatre's arts engagement and artistic programs. The get-down fun will be on the Globe's Copley Plaza, as Cameron Crowe's Oscar-winning movie Almost Famous returns to its home city reimagined as a world-premiere musical. Globe Board members Ellise Coit and Karen Tanz serve as Co-Chairs.

Globe senior staff members presented highlights of the 2017 fiscal year, and Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein and Managing Director Timothy J. Shields spoke about the future of the Globe and its place in the San Diego community. The meeting was followed by a dessert reception catered by The Prado Restaurant for the Board of Directors, Ambassadors, and Founders-Level Donors on Copley Plaza.

East West Players (EWP) and Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC) are pleased to announce that for the Los Angeles premiere of the Broadway musical Allegiance, stage and screen star George Takei will be joined by Broadway cast members Elena Wang as Kei Kimura, Greg Watanabe as Mike Masaoka, Scott Watanabe as Tatsuo Kimura, and Janelle Dote as Hanako.

East West Players (EWP) and Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC) have announced that stage, television, and film star George Takei will lead the cast in the Los Angeles premiere of the Broadway musical Allegiance, which will be co-produced by EWP and JACCC by special arrangement with Sing Out, Louise! Productions and ATA, with performances at JACCC's Aratani Theatre in Los Angeles from February 21-April 1, 2018. Previews will run from February 21-25, with the Opening Night performance and reception on February 28.
