Ashley Arnold Joins Travis Moser And Tony-Winner Judy Kaye At City Winery, August 22

NYC based cabaret, concert and recording artist Travis Moser makes his City Winery New York debut with Someday Soon: The Songs of Judy Collins. Travis, along with musical director Drew Wutke, perform brand new arrangements of some of folk and pop icon Judy Collins' most loved songs, such as 'Someday Soon,' 'Both Sides Now,' 'Mountain Girl,' 'Who Knows Where the Time Goes' and many more.

Spectrum Theatre Company Presents Once On This Island by Lynn Ahrens

Spectrum Theatre Company is pleased to bring you ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, playing OCTOBER 20TH - 30th on stage at The Boyd Vance Theater at the George Washington Carver Museum. Once on This Island is a one-act musical with a book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and music by Stephen Flaherty. Based on the 1985 novel My Love, My Love; or, The Peasant Girl by Rosa Guy, it is set in the French Antilles archipelago in the Caribbean Sea. The show includes elements of the Romeo and Juliet story and elements of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale The Little Mermaid. It concerns a peasant girl on a tropical island, who uses the power of love to bring together people of different social classes. The original Broadway production ran from 1990 to 1991, and the West End production opened in 1994, where it won the 1995 Olivier Award for Best New Musical.

Spectrum Theatre Company presents the first production of its 2016 season: CROWNS: A GOSPEL MUSICAL, by Regina Taylor. The show will run for two weeks at Austin Playhouse beginning today, March 10th to March 20th, Thursday through Sunday of each week, with a bonus performance during the second week on Wednesday, March 16th, 2016. This award winning musical is centered around the story of a Brooklyn bred, street-tough young woman named Yolonda, who journeys to find heritage, culture and the individual within - but not without the help of a group of well-seasoned church women and their colorfully adorned hats.
