Westport Country Playhouse officially opened its production of the three-time Tony Award®-winning musical and winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, “Next to Normal,” on Saturday, April 9. The musical runs through Sunday, April 24.

Lois Steinberg, Chair of the Mandel JCC Book Festival today announced 2016-2017 Festival will begin with four different events in November and December. At each event, the author of the featured book will be on hand to discuss his/her work and respond to comments and questions from the audience.

To launch San Diego's internationally recognized, 22nd Annual, San Diego Jewish Book Fair, a preview event will be held on Thursday, October 20th with #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Weiner, author of soon-to-be-released, 'Hungry Heart: Adventures in Life, Love, and Writing.' The Second Annual Gold Coast International Film Festival presented by the Great Neck Arts Center, with the Town of North Hempstead as Founding Sponsor, will present seven days and nights of bold, dynamic films, programs, panels, tributes, conversations, awards and festivities on Long Island's North Shore. GCIFF gets underway Monday, October 22 with two pre-festival events followed by its Opening Night Gala on Wednesday, and then runs at the Clearview Cinemas in the communities of Manhasset, Roslyn, Great Neck and Port Washington through Sunday, October 28, 2012.
