The Secret Theatre and Producer Richard Mazda have announced its upcoming production of 'Urinetown: The Musical,' set to hit the stage with ten performances starting from April 11th until April 21st 2024.

The Secret Academy will present the iconic Heathers The Musical [Teen Edition] for a run of 10 performances. Many of the amazing cast members from The Secret's successful production of High School Musical cast from the Secret Academy are returning and are joined by other talented young performers from the Professional Performing Arts High School. Adult actors have been cast in the roles of the Principal, Teachers, & Dads.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, "Next to Normal" by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey opens this Friday. The production opens on April 12th at 7:30 p.m. and is directed by Craig Tyrl. "Next to Normal" tells the story of Diana Goodman and her family, struggling to find happiness and normality against a twenty-year backdrop of bi-polar disorder, depression, and grief. The musical examines mental illness and its powerful impact on the family unit.

The Wayward Artist is proud to produce the pop/rock, hit musical Next to Normal! Join Diana Goodman and her family in their anything-but- normal suburban home. Next to Normal explores the effects of extreme loss and the tolls mental illness can have on a modern-day family. Winning both the Tony and Pulitzer Prizes, Next to Normal, is a beautiful story and wonderful score from the creators, Brian Yorkey and Tom Kitt.

In McCoy Rigby Entertainment's production of '1776,' director Glenn Casale utilizes a mixture of young and veteran performers. In the show, seasoned actors like James Barbour (Edward Rutledge) and Peter Van Norden (Benjamin Franklin) co-star with young newcomers like Jordan Schneider (Lyman Hall) and Nick McKenna (A Courier). We spoke with Schneider and Nick Santa Maria (John Hancock) in this enlightening interview about auditions, reacting, and listening as an actor.

Having seen the musical HAMILTON when it was in Los Angeles, like many others I learned more important details about the founding fathers while watching it than I felt I had ever learned in school. Lin-Manuel Miranda who created that uber-successful musical in 2015, has said that 1776 THE MUSICAL, written in 1969, during another time of political and social unrest in the United States, has 'one of the best books-if not the best-ever written for musical theatre.' And now I can say I certainly agree with him. On Monday, August 27 LA's Next Great Stage Star 2018 Presented by Princess Cruises came to a thrilling conclusion on the Debbie Reynolds Mainstage of the El Portal Theatre in NoHo. After a very entertaining 90-minute program in which the 10 contestants gave 150% to their monologues and songs from Broadway shows, eight contestants were eliminated and the top two finalists were selected. It was then decided,  from the consensus of the judges, to add a third runnerup. Then each of the three proceeded to perform a second number after which the distinguished panel of judges made the final decision. Musical director par excellence Jennifer Lin accompanied at the piano throughout the three hour show.

Chance Theater, Anaheim's official resident theater company, is pleased to announce its production of Violet, which will kick off its 20th Anniversary Season.
