Beck Center for the Arts is pleased to produce Teen Theater Production 13 in the Mackey Theater April 5 to April 14, 2019. This stellar cast of 25 teenagers shows how intense our lives can be at age 13.  Getting a chance to performance on our largest stage, the Mackey Theater, is important to our students and their development as artists. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 3 p.m. Sundays.  Student Matinee: April 11, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets range from $12 for adults and all patrons under the age of 18 are just $10 each. Spend an evening with the nuns of St. Veronica's when the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland (ATGC) presents its seventeenth annual benefit production "The Divine Sister" by Charles Busch, which will be performed on Monday, August 20, 2018, at The Cassidy Theatre in Parma Heights. All proceeds from the August 20th performance will benefit ATGC.

Stephen Sondheim, who wrote the music and lyrics for 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,' which is now in production at Blank Canvas, is noted as a brilliant lyricist. Interestingly, that is not the way he sees himself. He is well-trained as a musical composer, having, from a young age, been the prodigy of Oscar Hammerstein II. Yes, the composer of such mega hits as 'Oklahoma,' 'South Pacific' and 'Sound of Music.'
