Miller Theatre at Columbia University School of the Arts opens its 2023-24 Composer Portraits series with John Zorn at 70, Music for Strings on Thursday, September 21, 8PM. The places a spotlight on John Zorn's writing for strings, the first of three concerts this fall in celebration of the 70th birthday of the New York musical icon.

'The Communion of Saints' is the creation of published author John Miller, a Presbyterian minister ordained in 1964 who has served congregations in seven states throughout his long career of devotion to the church. In 2004, he and his wife, Lois, established an interdenominational congregation called The Chapel Without Walls in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where he still preaches most Sundays.
