Two River Theater has named Justin Waldman as their new Artistic Director.  Waldman returns to the East Coast from San Diego after an eleven-year career at the Old Globe Theatre.

Theater enthusiasts are invited to join Two River Theater Founder and Event Chair Joan Rechnitz on Saturday, May 21, 2022 in celebrating the launch of the ‘Dias/Hurst New Musical Fund’ in honor of Two River Theater’s outgoing leaders John Dias, Artistic Director, and Michael Hurst, Managing Director.   

Tonight at 8pm, Broadway for Biden will present In Our America: A Concert for the Soul of the Nation. The virtual event will bring Broadway together to celebrate hope and benefit the Biden Victory Fund.

Ensemble Theatre Company of Santa Barbara has launched its new Extraordinary Times Campaign, a $400,000 fundraising campaign that will enable ETC to remain open and active during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 19 categories - and bestowed one special award - for the 34th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at NYU Skirball Center for Performing Arts, beginning at 7:00pm EST. The Lucille Lortel Awards are produced by the Off-Broadway League by special arrangement with the Lucille Lortel Theatre Foundation. Additional support is provided by TDF. Beloved and celebrated entertainer, Wayne Brady, will emcee the ceremony.

Two River Theater continues its 25th Anniversary Season with the celebrated American classic 'The Belle of Amherst,' a biographical drama starring Maureen Silliman as poet Emily Dickinson. It is written by William Luce, and directed by the theater's founder and Executive Producer Robert Rechnitz. On October 22, 2018,  New Jersey Theatre Alliance ("the Alliance") will host Curtain Call, its annual celebration of theatre, at The Asbury Hotel in Asbury Park. Honorees include the education leaders of its member theatres, as well as board president Larry Capo whose lifelong dedication to the arts has made a lasting impact on The Alliance and our state arts community. The event, which is open to the public, will take place from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm and includes buffet stations, wine and beer, entertainment, a silent auction, and a 50/50 raffle.

 Be More Chill, the new hit musical has extended by popular demand. Having sold out its entire run prior to opening night, Be More Chill has now extended its limited engagement one week through September 30.

Stephen Brackett directs and Chase Brock choreographs the limited 9-week, off-Broadway engagement July 26 - September 23 at The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street, NYC).

Broadway's Jason Tam joins the company of this summer's hotly anticipated musical Be More Chill. Assuming the role of 'The Squip,' Tam joins previously announced cast members from the 2015 Two River Theater production and original cast recording including Gerard Canonico (Spring Awakening, Groundhog Day) as Rich, Katlyn Carlson (Dirty Dancing, The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin) as Chloe, Stephanie Hsu (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Christine, Lauren Marcus (The Humans at St. Louis Rep, Company at Barrington Stage) as Brooke, and George Salazar (tick tick BOOM!, Godspell, The Lightning Thief) as Michael; as well as Will Roland (Dear Evan Hansen, The Black Suits) as Jeremy and Jason SweetTooth Williams (Freaky Friday, Benny and Joon, Bloodsong of Love) as Jeremy's Dad/Mr. Reyes.

On Friday June 8, the company of  Be More Chill hosts a special box office event. From 3:00 - 5:00PM, fans are invited to The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street, NYC) to buy their tickets and meet company members from this summer's hotly anticipated musical. Come and chill out with cast members including Katlyn Carlson, Lauren Marcus, Will Roland, George Salazar and Jason SweetTooth Williams, as well as composer/lyricist Joe Iconis and director Stephen Brackett. There will be opportunities for selfies with the company, fun giveaways and other surprises.
