Serenbe Playhouse, recipient of the prestigious American Theatre Wing grant, and recently honored with the most Suzi Bass Awards for a musical in Atlanta (Miss Saigon), presents MACBETH, by William Shakespeare. Directed by Amy Holtcamp with original music by GRAMMY nominee John Burke, the show opened on June 22nd and runs to July 9th. MACBETH is being produced at The Waterfall in Serenbe. Founder and Executive Artistic Director Benjamin Davis has announced that submissions are open and rolling in for the Second Annual Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival (AMTF), to be held in August in Atlanta.

Tomorrow, Atlanta-based actors and writers Jeremiah Parker Hobbs and Jessica DeMaria will debut their new breath-taking, folk-rock musical THE LAST TIME WE WERE HERE at The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF). Earlier this year, the pair debuted a semi-staged reading of the show at Atlanta's Actor's Express. Check out a video of the song 'My Amazing Grace.'

With school back in session and families settling into the school year, Aurora Theatre announces an amazing array of classes for students this fall. The acclaimed Aurora Theatre Academy offers sessions for any student. From beginners to advanced and covering students in 1st-12th grade programs as well as, an Adult Acting Class. Synchronicity Theatre rounds out their 15th Anniversary Season with a revival of last year's critically-acclaimed, 'Petite Rouge'. Featuring members of the original cast and directed by Justin Anderson, 'Petite Rouge' is part fairy tale, part adventure and all fun for all audiences. Based on the book of the same name written by Mike Artell and illustrated by Jim Harris, this musical adaptation is brought to life by playwright and composer Joan Cushing. Synchronicity's co-production with Aurora Theatre, where the show performed for school audiences earlier this spring, opens March 29th and performs through April 21st. For this run, the show moves to a new venue, this time playing the Horizon Theatre.
