On July 23, Northern Sky Theater hosted a fundraising event at which the 25th Anniversary of their musical Guys on Ice was celebrated. During this event, Representative Joel Kitchens presented a celebratory citation by the assembly to the composer of the show, James Kaplan.

Northern Sky Theater has announced its 2023 season in Peninsula State Park and at their Gould Theater. The Door County theater plans four shows in two summer venues, as well as a September outdoor concert show and a fall indoor show. Exact dates will be announced later.

Northern Sky Theater has announced the slate of shows for its 2022 season. In 2022, the theater plans a robust season in two venues after their virtual 2020 season and streamlined 2021 season. The season will feature two world premiere musicals and resurrecting two past hits.

On Saturday, October 16, at 3 p.m., Northern Sky Theater will present an in-person installment of The Jeff & Katie Show, indoors at the Gould Theater in Fish Creek. After the show, the in-person audience will be invited to a bonfire outside featuring cider and cookies from the show. The show will also be livestreamed to Facebook and YouTube.  

Beginning August 23, Northern Sky Theater will present Naked Radio, their 2017 musical comedy hit by Paul Libman and Dave Hudson. The show will run through November 6 (Northern Sky's latest-ever fall date) in Northern Sky's indoor Gould Theater.

Whatever Happened to Karl Janko? tells the story of Karl Janko, who (last seen in his metallic green 1976 Cutlass Supreme) disappeared from his tiny Wisconsin hometown without a trace. Thirty-five years later, everyone in town thinks they know what happened to him—and they’re all wrong. Actors play multiple roles in this hilarious musical mystery, inspired by real-life events.

Beginning July 12, Northern Sky Theater will remount its first-ever book musical, Tongue 'n Cheek, created by Fred Alley with additional music by James Kaplan. The show will run through August 7, outdoors at the Northern Sky amphitheater in Peninsula State Park.  

Beginning July 12, Northern Sky Theater will present the in-person version of its world premiere comedy Not Even Remotely in the company's new Gould Theater in Fish Creek. The show will run through August 7, Monday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m.  

The Fisherman’s Daughters, by Katie Dahl, tells the story of two sisters in 1908 Fish Creek who must reckon with their differences when Wisconsin’s governor decides to turn their homestead into part of Peninsula State Park.

Northern Sky Theater has announced the slate of shows for its 2021 summer and fall seasons. In crafting a season that could employ as many theater professionals as possible and still prioritize Covid safety.

After a year of exclusively virtual programming during the pandemic, Northern Sky Theater in Fish Creek has announced plans to return to in-person performances this summer and fall. Show titles, safety protocols, and ticket sales information will be announced sometime in May.

As part of its ongoing virtual winter season, Northern Sky Theater will present the full video of its 1993 production of Malarkey, a collection of Irish songs, stories, and humor.

As part of its ongoing winter season, Northern Sky Theater will present a virtual concert by Texas folk/jazz duo Karen Mal and Will Taylor on Saturday, March 6 at 7 p.m. CST. The show will premiere live on the 6th and then be available on demand through May 31.  

As part of its ongoing virtual programming, Northern Sky Theater will present Jeff's Presidential Palooza on President's Day, February 15, at 7 p.m. CST.

Neen Rock, longtime production stage manager and designer at Northern Sky Theater, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 3, 2021. The cause was a cerebral aneurysm. Neen worked at Northern Sky for over thirty years, and her contributions to the company as a designer, stage manager, mentor, and beloved friend were numerous and far-reaching.

Northern Sky Theater has announced its first-ever Winter Season, featuring eight virtual offerings, including both live concerts and archived material.

Saturday, October 31, at 7 p.m., tune in for Northern Sky Theater's virtual Bone Dance ReBOOnion, a slightly spooky (and very fun) walk down memory lane to revisit Bone Dance, Northern Sky's cult classic collection of ghost songs and stories.

Northern Sky Theater offers Virtual Songs of Hope Concert FISH CREEK, WI - At 7 p.m. on August 21, Northern Sky Theater will present Songs of Hope, a virtual concert of uplifting songs from Northern Sky's vast archive.

As part of its ongoing virtual season, at 7 p.m. on August 7, Northern Sky Theater will present Trunk Songs, a virtual concert of songs that were written for original Northern Sky musicals but didn't make that particular show's final cut.
