Producer Mark Cortale has announced the opening of two shows for summer-long runs in Provincetown, starting this month. First, drag comedy legend Varla Jean Merman premiered her new comedy show Superspreader on July 9 which will run until September 12 poolside at the Crown & Anchor, featuring Gerald Goode at the piano.

Provincetown's Art House theater has announced its upcoming music and comedy lineup. Returning center stage is the Broadway @ series first launched in 2011 by Producing Artistic Director Mark Cortale and Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky, and now in more than a dozen major venues worldwide.

Producer Mark Cortale has announced that international chanteuse and drag superstar Varla Jean Merman will premiere her hilarious new comedy show A Star Is Bored in Los Angeles at Largo on Thursday, March 26 at 8:00 PM. After 25 years of giving over 75% of her best at every performance, Varla is well, tired.

Surprisingly, the lady was not nearly as graphically bawdy as many of her contemporaries. Oh, there's innuendo and winks at naughtiness a-plenty, but there's no profanity and she lets the audience go the final steps into their own dirty minds without pushing them too much. Mark Cortale, Producing Artistic Director of Provincetown's internationally known Art House theater, has announced that he has begun to search for a new summer location for 2019. Cortale learned last week that the twin 120-seat theaters at The Art House will be gutted by the property owner after the current summer season due to restaurant expansion plans. The news comes on the heels of seven consecutive seasons of remarkable success; thriving outposts of its famed 'Broadway @' music series in major venues across the country and abroad; and the recent announcement of its largest lineup of Broadway, comedy and music stars yet for its P-Town home.

For the eighth consecutive season since taking the helm as Producing Artistic Director at Provincetown's Art House, Mark Cortale has upped the ante - announcing his largest music and comedy lineup yet.

Callaway has crafted an exciting night of music centered on the songs of women songwriters who have inspired her. Billie Holiday's "God Bless the Child," Carole King's "Will You Love Me Tomorrow?", and Dorothy Field's "The Way You Look Tonight" are among the gems carefully chosen by he Platinum-selling composer and lyricist.
