Elizabeth Adabale BIO

Elizabeth was born in Los Angeles to two Nigerian parents who had no idea what they were in for! She got her start performing in choirs in elementary school and at church. It was when she "starred"as Passenger #3 in Anything Goes at the age of 11 that she fell in love with the stage!

Since then, she has starred in musicals at the University of Southern California and regional theatres from Costa Mesa to Hollywood. While at USC, she had the opportunity to study with musical theatre artists such as Georgia Stitt and Jason Alexander. Since graduating, she has also ventured into film and hopes to expand to TV.

Elizabeth also enjoys being behind the scenes! Her directorial debut started with Oliver! where she worked with children from the ages of 3-18. She also helped found the drama department at Da Vinci Design HS and directed Almost, Maine, Little Shop of Horrors , You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, and Grease.

Overall, she is in love with telling stories and hopes to be able to do so forever! ??

Review: RENT Soars at Broadway At Music Circus

A lot can happen in 525,600 minutes. Love is found, dreams are lost, and lives are irrevocably altered. Such is the premise of Jonathan Larson’s rock musical, Rent, which is loosely based on Giacomo Puccini’s 1896 opera, La Bohème. Larson wanted to tell the stories of his friends who were afflicted by the AIDS epidemic and, at the same time, highlight the struggles that he and his peers faced as young artists in New York City. Sadly, Larson died from an aortic aneurysm the night before Rent opened Off-Broadway. He would not see it go on to Broadway and win the 1996 Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama; however, his vision continues in Broadway at Music Circus’ finale of their 2023 season.

This Spotlight focuses on Elizabeth Adabale, a dedicated musical theatre entertainer who studied public health and theatre at the University of Southern California and taught high school biology with Teach for America, until the stage pulled her elsewhere. I first met her in 2013 when she began to audition for productions in Los Angeles and I knew with her talent and stage presence, Elizabeth was destined to a?oehit it biga?? on stages across the country! BWW Review: THE COLOR PURPLE Shines Bright at The Washington Pavilion

'I don't need you to love me, I don't need you to love. I've got...my sister, I can feel her now. She may not be here, but she's still mine.' So begins the profound anthem 'I'm Here', sung by Celie in the second act of The Color Purple, now playing at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls, SD. That one lyric sums up a lifetime of despair and pain while at the hands of the hard-hearted and merciless men she was forced to endure over the course of her life. In the end, Celie triumphs, but not without a long, emotional journey as she struggles to find her 'beautiful' self.
