David Greene, the Senior Vice President of Programming at Playhouse Square, informs theater-goers in his program notes for GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY that “it is a non-traditional musical which features songs by music legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Bob Dylan.” 

Three popular movie titles and the story behind a music icon will come to life on stage this season, as Playhouse Square brings four new shows to E.J. Thomas Hall as part of the 2023-2024 Broadway in Akron Series.

Playhouse Square is bringing two beloved classics, a brand-new musical and one of the most iconic and colorful shows to E.J. Thomas Hall at the University of Akron for the 2022-2023 Broadway in Akron season.

The Filigree Theatre, an independent theatre company based in Austin, TX led by women, returns to Los Angeles to present a Limited Run of the West Coast Premiere of Lila Rose Kaplan's critically acclaimed play, 100 PLANES, as a Guest Production at the Sacred Fools Theater Company at the Broadwater, 1076 Lillian Way, Los Angeles, CA 90038, July 18 - August 4, 2019, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 5:00 p.m.

On Monday, July 1 (two shows: 7 & 9:30 pm), JEFF BREITHAUPT's NEW YORK ROCKS THE GREAT CANADIAN SONGBOOK Canada Day Celebration at Joe's Pub returns!

The Filigree Theatre, Austin's independent women-led theatre company, has announced its cast for the World Premiere of 100 PLANES, written by Lila Rose Kaplan. Starring Alani Rose Chock (Kay McClure), Brittany Flurry (Monique DuPont), Karen Harrison (Anne Clarkson) and Brennan Patrick (David Greene), directed by Elizabeth V. Newman and produced by Stephanie Moore, the production will run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm from April 4-13, 2019 at The Mastrogeorge Theatre (130 Pedernales St).
